Job Title: Sr.Manager/AGM-Production(Lithium-Ion Battery Plant)

Job Overview:
The Production Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing the production processes in a lithium-ion battery manufacturing plant. This role involves leading a team of production staff, coordinating with other departments, and implementing strategies to improve production efficiency and product quality. The Production Manager ensures that all production activities are carried out in compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Production Planning and Management:
• Develop and implement production plans to meet the plant's output targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor and adjust production schedules as necessary to address issues, optimize efficiency, and meet changing demands.
• Oversee the production processes, ensuring that all operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
• Team Leadership and Development:
• Lead, train, and mentor a team of production supervisors, technicians, and operators.
• Set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide feedback and development opportunities to staff.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork within the production team.
• Quality Control:
• Ensure that all products meet the required quality standards.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Implement quality control measures and monitor production output for consistency and compliance with specifications.
• Process Optimization:
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and lower production costs.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and other process improvement methodologies.
• Collaborate with the engineering and maintenance teams to maintain and enhance production equipment and processes.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Ensure that all production activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Promote a strong safety culture within the plant, conducting regular safety audits and training.
• Address any safety incidents promptly and implement corrective actions.
• Inventory and Resource Management:
• Manage inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely supply of materials and components.
• Optimize the use of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to maximize production efficiency.
• Reporting and Documentation:
• Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including output, quality, efficiency, and safety metrics.
• Maintain accurate production records and ensure that all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Budgeting and Cost Control:
• Assist in the preparation of the production budget and manage production expenses within budgetary constraints.
• Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving initiatives where possible.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience: At least 12+years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in battery manufacturing or a related industry.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of battery manufacturing processes, production equipment, and quality control standards. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and process optimization techniques.
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a production team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
• Safety and Compliance: In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in a manufacturing setting.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in production management software, ERP systems, and MS Office Suite.
Working Conditions:
• This role may require working in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on production demands.
• The Production Manager may need to spend significant time on the plant floor, where exposure to noise, chemicals, and machinery is common.
