As a factory flow simulation engineer, you will work to plan, analyze and improve the productivity of manufacturing production lines and related processes. You should be able to conduct Discrete-Event Simulation and statistical modelling studies for flow analysis of manual, semi-automated or automated factory lines. Your primary responsibility will be to capture the complex dynamics of production models – machines, software, and human behavior – to build new and improved production set up for integration into Factory Twin under I4.0.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Perform 2D/3D discrete-event simulation studies for system-level engineering analysis for industrial applications.
• Collaborate with diverse stakeholders including manufacturing operations to understand the project requirements, risks and delivery schedule.
• Lead development and improvement of DES capabilities & methods to support strategy for emerging technologies
• Analyze and correlate production data to simulation model to improve DES accuracy and effectiveness
• Conduct what-if scenario analysis on developed model and identify bottleneck processes to provide optimization solutions.
• Support and mentor peers and colleagues, continuously creating and improving technical development plan and technology roadmap for key projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree with minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
Tecnomatix (Siemens) Plant simulation tool expertise
SimPy/ ProModel or similar tool familiarity(desired)
Statistical modelling and analysis
Data analysis and integration
A passion and keenness for emerging tools and technologies will be added bonus.
