We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and proactive Compliance Officer to join our team, responsible for ensuring that all healthcare workers, particularly those assigned to the NHS, meet the required compliance standards. This role will focus on managing the compliance process from start to finish, ensuring that all candidates are fully compliant and able to work within NHS frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Compliance Management:
• Ensure all healthcare workers meet the necessary compliance standards as per NHS guidelines, including right-to-work checks, professional qualifications, and DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearances.
• Review and verify candidate documentation to ensure full compliance, including training certificates, immunization records, professional registration (NMC, HCPC), and proof of experience.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure that all files are up-to-date and compliant with NHS and regulatory body requirements.
2. Document maintainance:
• Manage the onboarding process for new healthcare workers, ensuring all required compliance documents are collected, verified, and securely stored.
• Liaise with candidates to obtain missing documents or update expiring certifications to ensure continuous compliance.
• Guide candidates through the compliance process, providing clear instructions on the necessary documentation and helping resolve any issues.
3. DBS and Right-to-Work Checks:
• Oversee and process DBS applications for healthcare workers, ensuring they meet NHS standards.
• Verify candidates’ right-to-work documentation in the UK, ensuring compliance with immigration and employment laws.
4. Occupational Health and Training:
• Ensure all candidates have up-to-date occupational health clearance, including immunization records and fitness-for-work assessments.
• Verify that candidates have completed all required NHS training modules, including mandatory training courses such as Safeguarding, Infection Control, and Manual Handling.
5. Compliance Reporting:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all compliance-related activities, ensuring all healthcare worker files are complete and meet NHS standards.
